A resident of the Houston area for 15 years, Mary Huber has an impressive background with 20 years in real estate, most of which have been right here in Houston. After living in California for many years, including the San Francisco Bay Area where she lived prior to moving to Houston, Mary has developed a deep appreciation for the Houston area and all that it has to offer, including affordable housing, premier shopping and dining, and endless outdoor recreation. As a realtor, she hopes to connect her buyers to a community where they feel the same affinity, and help sellers with the sale of their home so that they can experience a smooth transition into the home that best accommodates their individual needs and situation.
Prior to her real estate career, Mary worked in HR, media relations, and commercial and residential property management. While her career history was diverse, each of her jobs centered on helping others. Whether she was making sure people understood/made the most of their benefits, covering non-profits and obtaining donations, organizing events, or handling a wide range of tenant needs, Mary’s focus was sharing her knowledge in order to better someone else’s situation. While working in property management, Mary obtained her real estate license, and seamlessly transitioned into sales shortly after.
After closing her first real estate deal, Mary realized she had found the perfect career and could not imagine doing anything else. Her lifetime love of architecture, interior decorating, garden design, years in property management, and a negative first time home buying experience enabled her to offer clients a unique and personal service. Using her knowledge of the surrounding markets and the superior technology and tools of Connect Realty, Mary has devoted her career to ensuring that both buyers and sellers do not end up in the same unhappy situation that she and her husband found themselves in during their first purchase.
Furthermore, Mary prides herself on being available 24/7 and is careful to remember that although transactions are an everyday occurrence to her, they are generally a brand new or rare experience for her clients. With that mindset, she is able to treat them with kid gloves and offer a higher level of attention each step of the way. She emphasizes the importance of communication throughout the process, whether listening to her client’s wants and needs, educating them about the current market and trends, or keeping them informed. As such, Mary has built a successful real estate business that is based primarily on referrals from her happy clients!
When she is not helping clients with the buying/selling process, Mary loves to read, cook, swim, and spend time with her husband and dogs. Mary is also a passionate advocate for animals and currently volunteers for a local dog breed rescue.
