New ExxonMobil Developments will Create Even More Jobs in North Houston

In addition to the 385-acre campus south of The Woodlands in Spring Woods Village that will ultimately consist of about 20 office and specialty buildings and at least 10,000 employees by 2015, ExxonMobil will also occupy about 480,000 square feet in Hughes Landing in The Woodlands.

Situated on Lake Woodlands, Hughes Landing is a 66-acre mixed-use development.  On the 66-acres, the company will occupy a 317,052 square-foot which will be 12 stories and include a 11-story parking garage.  In addition, Exxon will utilize half of a 331,840 square-foot, 12 story building.  Expected to be complete in November of 2015, this additional ExxonMobil campus will account for an additional 1,430 jobs with a combined annual salary of $179 million.

To accommodate the influx of visitors and homebuyers to The Woodlands, The Woodlands Development Company is working on an exclusive neighborhood on Mitchell Island, a 22-acre man-made island that sits in the center of LakeWoodlands.  This island will ultimately encompass 19 one-acre lots, and will feature the most prestigious, exclusive homes in The Woodlands.  Upon completion of further construction, residents will be transported from Mitchell Island to Hughes Landing by boat.  As The Woodlands continues to approach build out, these elite estates will likely be one of the last opportunities to find a luxury home that has never been lived in!  Not to mention, its convenient range to Hughes Landing makes this neighborhood ideally suited for employees who will be conducting business from the development.
