Bridgeland:  The Nation’s Number One Master-Planned Community

 

Bridgeland comprises 11,401 acres of flat to gently rolling terrain in northwest Harris County. It is located on and along the eastern margins of the Katy Prairie.  The area was developed by the Howard Hughes Company, the same developer of The Woodlands, and was named Community of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders in 2009.  The National Association of Home Builders also rewarded Bridgeland as the nation’s number one master-planned community.

Bridgeland’s master plan comprises four distinct villages: Lakeland Village, Creekland Village, Prairieland Village and Parkland Village. Each village contains clusters of neighborhoods anchored by a village center with amenities, retail, restaurants and more. Schools and parks are also strategically located within each village.  Not to mention, Bridgeland is home to lakes and waterways, trails, neighborhood parks, and an activity center.  In addition, the community’s aquatic center provides further opportunity for outdoor recreation and enjoyment.

Central to all villages is The Bridgeland Town Center, offering residents a convenient place to shop, work and have fun. The town center includes hospitals, schools, retail, entertainment, employment and more.
